I love using bath and beauty products and making them can be just as fun! They can also make amazing gifts on a budget. I'm going to show you 2 super simple DIY beauty products to have a spa day at home!
So the first one is bath melts for these you will need:
100g coconut oil (it depends on how much you want to make, it can be found in super markets, I got mine from Aldi).
Citrus zest and/or soap fragrance or essential oils ( you can do any scent you like).
Firstly you want to melt your coconut oil in the microwave untill it is melted. Then mix in any scent or zest you want (if you don't have soap fragrance's or essential oils you can use lemon zest). I used lemon zest and lemon soap fragrance and it had a delicious fresh lemon scent!

Then pour this mixture into a jug and into silicone ice cube trays or other moulds, then leave to set in the fridge or freezer until they are hard. Then pop them out of the moulds and enjoy a moisturising bath for a cheaper price.

I used these in my bath and my skin felt amazingly soft and the water smelt delicious! You can use these on a pamper night or give them as gifts.

The next thing is a DIY body scrub for this you will need:
50g coconut oil
100g caster sugar
Any fragrance you like I used lavender essential oil
A container or jar to put it in.

First you need to melt the coconut oil in the microwave and stir in the caster sugar. You may need to add more oil or sugar depending on the consistency that you like. I went for quite a dry scrub but its up to you.

Then add in your fragrance of choice, I used lavender essential oil but if you don't have that you could even just squeeze so lemon juice in it for a fresh lemon scent! If you want you can colour it with food colouring but I decided to keep mine plain. Then spoon into your container of choice. You could add some ribbon for a quick and easy gift!

This is such an amazing body scrub that is best used on dry skin before washing off. I found the coconut oil to be very moisturising. I always find that body scrubs can be expensive and with this you can choose your favourite scent. I think this would make an amazing gift but also a great one to make to treat yourself.
So that was my DIY beauty products , I hope you enjoyed it, hopefully on Friday I will be reviewing Bath Bake Love cosmetics. If you have any blog post suggestions please leave them in the comments.
Be kind, be you
